pitcher Luis Atilano on the 15-day disabled list Friday.
Atilano was recently touched for five runs in four innings in a July 20 start
against the Reds and was scheduled to face the Brewers on Sunday, but an MRI
revealed bone chips in his sore right elbow.
The 25-year-old had reconstructive elbow surgery in 2006.
In 16 games this season, Atilano went 6-7 with a 5.15 earned run average and
1.49 walks/hits per inning pitched.
The Washington Post reported late Friday that Ross Detwiler will be recalled
to make the start on Sunday.
