07/06/2006 - Indianapolis, IN (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Indiana Pacers announced the signings of forward Shawne Williams and swingman James White on Tuesday. Per team policy, financial terms were not disclosed.

The 6-foot-9, 225-pound Williams was the Pacers' No. 1 pick (17th overall) in the 2006 NBA Draft after averaging 13.2 points per game in his freshman year at the University of Memphis.

White is a 6-7, 200-pound swingman from the University of Cincinnati who was chosen by the Portland Trail Blazers as the first pick in the second round of the Draft.

The former Bearcats star was then acquired by the Pacers in exchange for their 2006 second-round pick (45th overall) and two future second-round picks. White netted 16.3 ppg during his senior season at Cincinnati.
