07/01/2010 - St. Paul, MN (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Minnesota Wild have signed forwards Matt Cullen and Eric Nystrom to a pair of three-year contracts.

Cullen collected 16 goals and 32 assists over 81 games with Carolina and Ottawa last season. He added three goals and five assists in six playoff games with the Senators.

Over 12 seasons and 880 games with the Ducks, Panthers, Hurricanes, Rangers and Senators, Cullen has recorded 169 goals and 461 points, while tallying 11 times and adding 25 helpers in 63 playoff games.

The 33-year-old Cullen was a member of the Carolina team that won the Stanley Cup in 2006, the season in which he recorded a career-high 25 goals and 49 points.

He was a second-round selection, 35th overall, by Anaheim in 1996.

Nystrom, 27, spent his first four NHL seasons with Calgary and set career- highs with 11 goals and eight assists in 2009-10. In 204 games, he's tallied 19 goals and 20 assists while recording 191 penalty minutes.

"Eric is a highly-competitive, character player who is just entering the prime of his career," said Wild general manager Chuck Fletcher.

Nystrom was originally Calgary's first-round pick -- 10th overall -- in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.

The AFC South and the NFC East are the favorite divisions to have the next Super Bowl champ among them in the NFL betting odds. But more down to the point, these football odds are in favor of the Indianapolis Colts, by far the strongest team in the AFC South, and the Dallas Cowboys of the NFC East.

Most sports fans would agree that these two teams top the list to win it all before the season even begins. And it is likely they will do so. The Bengals lost in the AFC Wild Card spot in a hard-fought battle against the New York Jets last season. Lest not forget the Pittsburgh Steelers, the XLII Super Bowl Champions… All these teams present interesting odds and matchups for the upcoming season, but the safest and surest bet seems to be with the Colts in the AFC South and the Cowboys in the NFC East.
