Indianapolis, IN (Sports Network) - Indiana Pacers forward/guard Mike Dunleavy will be out indefinitely because of a broken left thumb, the team said Wednesday. The injury, which Dunleavy sustained during the Pacers' victory at Washington on Tuesday, will keep him out of at least Wednesday's game against the Detroit Pistons. He will meet with doctors Thursday. Dunleavy has missed just one of the Pacers' 55 games so far this season and has averaged 11.2 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists.

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) - NBA scoreboard operators are being told to sound warning horns during breaks in action in an effort to cut down on the game lengths.

According to a memo distributed courtside Tuesday night at the Detroit Pistons game before they played the Rockets, the length of games has been increasing, ``largely due to prolonged delays after breaks.''

NBA spokesman Tim Frank confirmed to The Associated Press that the protocol went into effect Tuesday night.
